Crafty Cabbage

With Easter on the brain , I stumbled across this cute idea at Martha Stewart.com and thought I would give it a try.

Martha and her guest Laurie Davis made it look pretty simple....A paper mache box...nothing to it!

Paint a green color....piece of cake!
Disassemble a silk cabbage from Michael's....no sweat!
Start gluing leaves on the bottom of the box, starting with the smallest leaf...umm..ok....I fumbled around with this step quite a bit...I finally got it going...it's a good thing I wasn't on t.v.!

I continued gluing on the leaves and and it went pretty smoothly from here on out...

I used a little glitter on some of the leaves,
After all the glue dried, I used a little Easter grass and robin's eggs in the center

I think it turned out cute

Laurie made a handle for the cabbage but I decided I liked it without a handle

Thanks for stopping by, you should try this, the completed project really looks great!
