I am a sucker for fun and pretty looking ways to hold and store things, not to mention inventive ways to dress up a gift. Gift wrapping that can be used as much as the gift itself is a win-win!
I am especially fond of these lovelies from The MacBeth Collection:
Seriously adorable, yes? I mean, if I got a gift in one of these, it would have to be like, chocolate diamonds or something for me to be more jazzed by it than the bucket!
Over the holidays, a friend of mine brought me a bottle of wine in a tall bucket similar to this:
Super cute, and she even attached a sparkly Christmas ornament to it to finish it off.
Sooo, I got to thinking that I should be able to make one of these myself, with a little help from my friends...
I am an admitted Modge Podge Virgin. I bought it a long time ago, and it had been sitting in my craft closet. Patiently waiting.
I started by semi-figuring out how to cut the fabric to fit around my mini-bucket. I decided to start very small, in case I screwed it up needed to hone my Modge Podge skills.
Really, the trickiest part to the whole thing was the fabric measurement and cutting it to size. Mainly because the bucket handle got in the way. So, in case you're wondering why I don't have a tutorial, it's because I was clueless embracing the learning process.
So, I put a coat of Modge Podge on the bucket and then wrapped the fabric around it, cutting notches where the annoying bucket handles were and I used a razor to trim the fabric around the bottom. Several coats later... I had this!
I mean, how stinking cute is that? Sorry, I'm giving myself some serious snaps on this one. I love it. Perfect for a Valentine's Day gift!
Just when you thought it couldn't get any cuter. Pretty Bucket meet Cute Fabric Tag.
Did you even see that one coming?
So now, I'm stalking the house for my next Modge Podge victim...
