So, since I need to
A Mother's Day Memory Jar.
This idea stemmed from something that was inspired by PK at Room Remix for Christmas. (I would link to her blog, but she decided to stop blogging - oh, how I miss her!). I made this Countdown to Christmas jar for the kids, and each day they would pull a card and read the "Idea of the Day" - it could be family movie night, baking Christmas cookies, etc...
So, for Mother's Day, I have been writing down some memories of my mom, as well as some things about her for which I'm thankful.
No comments on the Neil Diamond reference if you don't like Neil. I once heard a comedian say, "There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who like Neil Diamond, and those who don't." Well, I do.
Then I folded them up to look cute and hot glued a little circle on it.
Then I put them all together in a jar, added some ribbon and a fun flower from my scrapbooking supplies. Voila!
And really, as moms, don't we love the sentimental handmade gifts our children give us the most? I know I do.
Hope you moms out there have a wonderful Mother's Day!
