Hooked on...Seashells

Hi Bloggers! I'm so excited to find Hooked on Houses http://hookedonhouses.net/because Julia hosts a great Friday event to share what YOU are hooked on...I am hooked on a lot of things so I'm really excited! This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship...:)

To me, seashells are the purest organic form on earth. I like to collect them and display with them for several reasons...First, They remind me of home, I am after all, a Carolina Girl at heart...cue Chairmen of the Board...:)

Secondly, I'm not much of a theme decorator, but seashells offer a suggestion that you love the beach, without the lighthouse wallpaper border, you know what I mean?

Last, I DO love the beach and having a reminder of it makes me pause and remember something as a child or watching my own children play in the waves. For me, seashells offer, well, a sense of history. Some people stop and smell the roses...I stop and put a shell to my ear. :)

Oh, I must add that the natural color pallet can't be beat either!
